Meeting of Ambassador Irena Šarac with the Mayor of Madrid | Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Kingdom of Spain

In a very cordial and substantive discussion, Ambassador Irena Šarac and the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, explored numerous opportunities for strengthening and formalizing cooperation between Belgrade and Madrid, particularly in the fields of culture, arts, economy, and tourism.

Ambassador Šarac conveyed an invitation from the Mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Šapić, to the Mayor of Madrid to visit Belgrade in the near future. A significant portion of the meeting was also dedicated to the upcoming Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027, which will be hosted in Belgrade, as well as the international wine fair “Wine Vision by Open Balkan,” to be held in November this year.
