In cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Madrid, the April issue of the Spanish magazine Diplomatic World, titled “Serbia: Tradition and Modernity,” is dedicated to Serbian-Spanish relations and the rich potential for cooperation, especially in the fields of economy and tourism, as well as history, tradition, culture, gastronomy, among others.

Besides an extensive interview with Ambassador Irena Šarac, who reflects on the traditionally close and friendly relations between Serbia and Spain—currently experiencing the best phase in their history—the ambassador also touches upon investment opportunities in the Serbian economy, further strengthening of economic cooperation, and attracting Spanish tourists with a focus on the natural beauties and landmarks of Serbia. For this special edition of Diplomatic World, interviews were also given by José López Tomás de Caranza, Economic Advisor at the Embassy of Spain in Belgrade, and César Sánchez, Executive Vice President of the company EUROPAVIA.

In the introductory remarks of the editor and magazine president Ángel José de la Rue, titled “Serbia: The Heart of the Balkans,” it is stated, among other things:

“On this occasion, we travel to the heart of the Balkans to discover Serbia, a country with a rich history, vibrant culture, and enormous economic potential. […] This special edition is an invitation to discover a fascinating country that is undergoing a full transformation and has much to offer the world.”
