End-of-School-Year Ceremony at the Serbian Supplementary School in Madrid
On this occasion, report cards and diplomas were also awarded to the students who had attended supplementary classes in the Serbian language over the past year, organized as part of a project by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia.During the event, the students showcased not only their knowledge but also their love for the Serbian language, tradition, and culture through recitations, songs, and acting performances. Ambassador Šarac expressed her gratitude to the parents for the effort they invest in educating their children in their mother tongue, as well as to teacher Milica Vukojević, whose selfless dedication, professionalism, and enthusiasm significantly contributed to the quality of teaching and the nurturing of children's love for the Serbian language, culture, and heritage. She congratulated the young students on their achievements, emphasizing the importance of preserving the Serbian language, cultural and spiritual heritage, and promoting values such as respect, solidarity, perseverance, and love for one’s roots. She reminded everyone that knowledge of one’s language and the history of one’s country, along with a sense of belonging to the culture of one's ancestors, forms a strong foundation of identity for every individual, regardless of where they live.
